The Cook: Part One Trivia Challenge

1. Sponsor and Administrator

The Cook: Part One Trivia Challenge ("Contest") is sponsored and administered by House of Jeppsson Publishing ("Sponsor").

The Contest is independently administered by House of Jeppsson Publishing. YouTube is not a sponsor of, affiliated with, responsible for, or involved in the administration of this Contest.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins when the official trivia challenge is made available on the House of Jeppsson website and ends on:

September 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM Central European Summer Time (CEST).

Entries received after the Contest Period has ended will not be eligible.

The Sponsor's records will serve as the official timekeeping method for determining whether an entry was received before the deadline.

3. Eligibility

The Contest is open worldwide to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, except where participation is prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their participation is lawful in their country, state, province, territory, or other jurisdiction of residence.

Employees, contractors, representatives, and immediate family members of House of Jeppsson Publishing are not eligible to enter.

Participation in the Contest constitutes the entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete and submit the official The Cook: Part One Trivia Challenge form available through the House of Jeppsson website at during the Contest Period.

Entry is free. No purchase is necessary.

Limit one entry per person.

Multiple entries submitted by or on behalf of the same individual may be disqualified.

Entrants are not required to subscribe to a YouTube channel, watch a YouTube video, like or comment on content, share content, make a purchase, join a mailing list, or otherwise engage with House of Jeppsson Publishing on YouTube or another social-media platform as a condition of entry.

5. Trivia Questions and Scoring

The Contest consists of trivia questions based upon The Cook: Part One | Sea Brine & Smoke.

Each correctly answered standard trivia question is worth one point.

The designated Bonus Question is worth one additional point and will be included in the entrant's total score.

The eligible entrant with the highest total score will be selected as the potential winner.

Answers, scores, and correct responses will not be displayed to entrants following submission or while the Contest is in progress.

6. Tiebreaker

If two or more eligible entrants achieve the same highest total score, the designated tiebreaker question will be used to determine the winner.

If two or more entrants remain tied after application of the tiebreaker, the winner will be selected by random drawing from among the remaining tied highest-scoring eligible entrants.

The Sponsor's determination of scores and application of the announced scoring and tiebreaking procedures will be final, subject to applicable law.

7. Prize

One (1) prize will be awarded.

The winner will receive one autographed hardcover copy of The Cook: Part One | Sea Brine & Smoke by S.J. Jeppsson.

The approximate retail value of the prize is US $30.

The prize has no cash value for purposes of redemption through the Sponsor and may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash or other monetary compensation.

No cash alternative, monetary prize, reimbursement, or other compensation will be provided in place of the prize.

The prize is non-transferable except at the Sponsor's discretion or where otherwise required by applicable law.

If the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, the Sponsor may substitute a substantially equivalent prize of equal or greater approximate retail value where permitted by law.

8. Winner Selection and Notification

Following the close of the Contest, eligible entries will be reviewed and scored according to these Official Rules.

The potential winner will be contacted privately using the email address provided with the Contest entry.

The potential winner must respond within seven (7) calendar days after the winner notification is sent.

The potential winner will be required to provide the information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and deliver the prize, including their legal name and complete, accurate mailing address.

If the potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within seven (7) calendar days, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to provide the information reasonably required for prize fulfillment, the potential winner may be disqualified.

In that event, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner according to the same scoring and tiebreaking procedures described in these Official Rules.

9. Names and Entrant Identity

Entrants are not required to provide their legal name when initially submitting the Contest entry.

Entrants may use their real name, preferred name, pen name, screen name, or another identifier when completing the trivia form.

The potential winner will, however, be required to provide their legal name and accurate mailing information privately for eligibility verification and prize fulfillment.

Providing false or misleading information for the purpose of circumventing eligibility requirements or improperly obtaining the prize may result in disqualification.

10. Email Addresses and Privacy

An email address is required so that the Sponsor can contact the potential winner.

Email addresses collected through the Contest will be used for Contest administration, including contacting the potential winner, verifying eligibility, and facilitating prize fulfillment.

Entering the Contest does not subscribe the entrant to a House of Jeppsson Publishing mailing list.

Email addresses collected for the Contest will not be used to send marketing or promotional emails solely because an individual entered the Contest and will not be sold to third parties.

Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be processed only as reasonably necessary to administer the Contest, determine and contact the winner, verify eligibility, deliver the prize, maintain necessary Contest records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Information concerning non-winning entrants will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for Contest administration, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable legal obligations, after which it will be deleted or anonymized as appropriate.

Information concerning the winner may be retained for any additional period required for accounting, tax, legal, or other legitimate recordkeeping obligations.

Participation in the Contest does not constitute consent to receive marketing communications from House of Jeppsson Publishing.

11. Winner's Mailing Information

The selected winner is responsible for providing House of Jeppsson Publishing with a complete, accurate, and deliverable mailing address and any other information reasonably required to ship the prize.

The Sponsor is not responsible for a prize that cannot be delivered because the winner provided incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or otherwise undeliverable mailing information.

If a prize is returned to the Sponsor because of incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the winner, the Sponsor is not obligated to provide monetary compensation or a replacement prize.

12. Shipping and Delivery

House of Jeppsson Publishing will pay the ordinary cost of shipping the prize to the mailing address provided by the winner, subject to any geographic, carrier, customs, sanctions, or other restrictions that may apply.

The Sponsor will take reasonable care in packaging the prize and providing it to the applicable postal or delivery service.

Once the prize has been properly addressed using the information supplied by the winner and transferred to the postal service or shipping carrier, the Sponsor is not responsible for loss, theft, misdelivery, delay, damage, or other circumstances occurring while the package is in transit, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

A lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, or misdelivered package does not entitle the winner to cash, monetary compensation, reimbursement, or an additional prize from the Sponsor, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any customs duties, import taxes, fees, or similar charges imposed by the winner's country or jurisdiction are the responsibility of the winner unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Winner Announcement

The potential winner will be contacted privately before any public announcement is made.

Once eligibility has been confirmed, House of Jeppsson Publishing may publicly announce that a winner has been selected.

The Sponsor will not publicly disclose the winner's email address, mailing address, or other private contact information.

If the winner is publicly identified, the Sponsor may use the winner's preferred name, pen name, screen name, first name, or other identifier agreed upon with the winner rather than publishing the winner's full legal name.

14. Fair Play and Disqualification

House of Jeppsson Publishing reserves the right to disqualify an entrant who:

• submits or attempts to submit more than one entry;

• provides materially false eligibility information;

• attempts to interfere with or manipulate the Contest, scoring system, website, entry form, or submission process;

• uses automated means, scripts, bots, or other artificial methods to submit an entry;

• attempts to obtain an unfair advantage over other entrants;

• engages in fraud, deception, or other conduct that compromises the fairness or integrity of the Contest; or

• otherwise materially violates these Official Rules.

An accidental clerical or technical error that does not provide an entrant with an unfair advantage will not automatically result in disqualification.

15. Technical Problems

The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, duplicated by a technical malfunction, or not received because of internet outages, website failures, transmission errors, device problems, platform failures, or other technical circumstances beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control.

If a technical failure materially affects the fairness or administration of the Contest, the Sponsor may take reasonable measures to address the problem, including extending the entry period, correcting affected entries where reasonably possible, suspending the Contest, or modifying its administration, subject to applicable law.

16. YouTube Disclaimer and Release

The Contest may be announced or promoted through YouTube, but it is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with YouTube.

YouTube is not responsible for the administration of the Contest, selection of the winner, fulfillment of the prize, or any dispute arising from the Contest.

By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to release YouTube from liability arising from or related to the Contest.

Participation associated with YouTube must comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines. Conduct or entries that violate those guidelines may be disqualified.

The Contest does not require or encourage participants to manipulate YouTube metrics, including views, likes, dislikes, comments, or subscriber counts.

17. General Conditions

House of Jeppsson Publishing reserves the right to cancel, suspend, extend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, legal requirements, events beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, or other circumstances materially affect the integrity, security, fairness, or proper administration of the Contest.

Any material change affecting eligibility, participation, winner selection, the Contest deadline, or prize fulfillment will be communicated clearly on the official Contest page where reasonably practicable.

The Sponsor will administer the Contest and award the prize according to these Official Rules.

The Sponsor's failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules in a particular instance does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, House of Jeppsson Publishing will not be responsible for losses, damages, expenses, or claims arising from participation in the Contest, acceptance of the prize, or use of the prize, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any consumer protection, privacy right, or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or waived.

19. No Monetary Compensation

Participation in the Contest does not create any entitlement to payment or compensation.

Only the prize described in these Official Rules will be awarded.

No entrant, including the winner, is entitled to demand cash, monetary compensation, reimbursement, royalties, or another form of payment in place of or in addition to the stated prize, except where required by applicable law.

20. International Participation

The Contest is intended to be available worldwide where legally permitted.

Because laws governing contests and promotions vary between jurisdictions, participation is void in any country, territory, state, province, or other jurisdiction in which the Contest or the entrant's participation would be prohibited by applicable law.

Entrants are responsible for complying with laws applicable to their participation.

The Sponsor may decline or disqualify an entry if awarding or shipping the prize to the entrant would violate applicable law, trade restrictions, sanctions, postal restrictions, carrier restrictions, or other legal requirements.

21. Governing Law

The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by applicable Danish law.

Nothing in these Official Rules deprives an entrant of mandatory consumer or other statutory protections that may apply under the laws of the entrant's country or jurisdiction of residence.

23. Acceptance of Official Rules
